Established in 1992, Schola Cantorum is celebrating 20 years of excellence in Church Music.
Sacred Heart’s Schola Cantorum and Conductor Donald Kendrick will present their annual choral concert Lenten Choral Mysteries on Sunday, April 1 st at 2 PM in Sacred Heart Church located at 39 th and J Streets in Sacramento. The program will feature this 30-voice choir in a performance of music for Passiontide including motets by Orlando Lassus, Antonio Lotti and Tomas Luis de Victoria. The choir has appeared in concert throughout the Sacramento area as well as in Canada and Europe. Guest Organist Dr. Ryan Enright will perform works by J. S. Bach as well as contemporary works for the Lenten Season.

Schola Cantorum has recorded nine CDs and has appeared in concert throughout the West Coast and in England, Spain, Italy, Canada and Austria. They performed in the Vatican for the Pope during their 2007 concert tour to Italy.

The suggested donation is $15 General and $10 Students/Seniors. There will be some tickets available at the door for each performance.
